Her work spans Channel 4, BBC, and Sky, She has forged a reputation for producing and directing films with both heart and purpose within intimate personal stories and securing complicated access to fascinating stories and institutions in the most sensitive areas of documentary-making.

In 2023, Sophie directed and filmed the powerful Channel 4 documentary A Paedophile in My Family: Surviving Dad, which earned nominations for Best Single Documentary at both the Grierson and RTS West Awards.

Most recently, her work has garnered significant critical acclaim. Boyzone: No Matter What, which launched on Sky in February 2025, became the channel's highest-rated original factual commission and received nominations at the National Television Awards and the Grierson Awards, and won best documentary at the Digital Broadcast Awards.
